FIELD DAY AND INFORMATION SESSION – 2nd TRAINING SESSION ON CEREALS

The Autumn/Winter Cereals Technical Training Course returns to Trás-os-Montes (Portugal) for its second session, continuing the practical training model developed by ANPOC, IPBeja/ESA and the INIAV Elvas Centre, in collaboration with local partners IPBragança and CCDR NORTE.

Following the strong attendance at the first session, we return to the field to explore topics essential to the technical management of cereal crops, now with a direct focus on the identification of pests and diseases, best practices and yield estimation during the grain filling stage, in a fully practical session held at Quinta do Valongo, Mirandela.

This training forms part of the LIFE SOS Pygargus project, reinforcing the importance of sustainable cereal production and the adoption of practices that enhance biodiversity and the resilience of agricultural systems.

Participants will also benefit from exclusive access to the “Cereais Praganosos” course, delivered via the AKIS PT platform. This is a 100% online course; free of charge and accessible via mobile phone or computer; and where learning takes place at the user’s own pace, with a certificate issued upon completion.

We look forward to your presence so that we can continue to harness the potential of cereal production in the north of Portugal.
